The salt trucks were out Sunday morning in Dearborn after the season's first snowfall.

It wasn't much, but winter definitely made itself known on Sunday with the first snowfall of the season.

Metro Detroit residents awoke to a blanket of white Sunday, and the salt trucks were out. The white stuff didn't last long as the sun came out, and it's unlikely southeast Michigan will see any more in the immediate future, according to the National Weather Service.

Patch photographer Ian Kushnir shared his photos of the snowfall, including the first round of salt on the streets from the Department of Public Works. Did you take any photos of the snow? Add them to our gallery!

Are you hoping for a snowy season after last winter's temperate hold out?

The last thing that was needed this morning were the salt trucks.

Yeah, didn't really seem necessary, did it? Better safe than sorry, I suppose - I did hear about a few accidents, though not any in Dearborn.
