Charges Dismissed, Re-Filed in Dearborn Murder Case
Fadi Hassan Faraj is expected to be arraigned again on first-degree murder charges in the death of Hassan Zeidan. A judge dismissed the original charges Tuesday.
A judge on Tuesday dismissed charges against a man accused of a 2011 murder in Dearborn, according to a report by WDIV-TV.
But prosecutors have re-filed first-degree murder charges against Fadi Hussein Faraj, who is accused in the shooting death of Hassan Zeidan on July 13, 2011.
Maria Miller, the spokesperson for the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, told the Detroit News that Faraj is expected to be arraigned again on Wednesday.
The original charges were dismissed after the prosecutor arrived late for jury selection on Tuesday at Detroit's Third District Court, leaving Zeidan’s family upset with presiding Judge Carole Youngblood over delays in the trial, which had already been pushed back from its originally scheduled start date of Dec. 5, 2011.

How on this Earth, can a judge so casually dismiss an open MURDER case against a man who shot a kid in cold blood, with numerous witnesses. This shows the out of control, personal feelings of superority, that these "public officials" have. Throw OUT a murder case because the prosecuter was late to a jury selection. Tell me "judge", is a lawyer being late to a court function rate the tossing out of the entire case. (?). We ARE, talking about a MURDER case here. Not exalctly a run-of-the-mill type of nuisance case. You should be re-called from the bench. NOW
