One Cat Saved, One Dies in Dearborn House Fire

Fire officials say the call for the blaze came in as a kitchen fire.

Fluffy is one lucky kitty.

The longhaired cat was saved in a house fire on the 5400 block of Steadman in Dearborn on Sunday evening by members of the Dearborn Fire Department, who carried the feline resident out of the home.

Fire officials say the call came in as a kitchen fire, although the exact cause is not yet known.

Sadly, another cat located within the home did not survive. No human residents were injured in the fire.

Stations 1, 3 and 4 responded to the call.

I am happy to see that no humans were hurt. Sad to see one cat casuality.

Makes me VERY happy to read. Our cat survived our total house fire too - so, do YOU have a fire plan?
