Buy a Blizzard, Benefit the Children's Miracle Network This Thursday

July 26 is Miracle Treat Day, for which participating Dairy Queen locations donate a portion of proceeds from Blizzard Treats sales to the Children's Miracle Network.

Go ahead, order that extra large Double Fudge Cookie Dough Blizzard. After all, it's for charity.

Tomorrow, Dairy Queen locations throughout the U.S. and Canada are partnering with the Children's Miracle Network for Miracle Treat Day.

For every Blizzard Treat sold at participating locations, DQ will donate $1 or more net proceeds from each sale to benefit sick and injured children at Children’s Miracle Network hospitals and Southeast Michigan’s representative, the Beaumont Children’s Hospital.

In addition to donations from actual sales, DQ will donate $1 for every customer who RSVPs to Miracle Treat Day on Facebook—up to $50,000.

Since 1984, DQ has raised more than $86 million for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals–including $5.5 million in 2010.

Participating DQ locations in the Dearborn area include:

  • 18900 Michigan Ave., on the lower level of the Fairlane Town Center
  • 22402 Ford Road in Dearborn Heights
