Band Fronted by Dearborn Man to Host Record Release Party Saturday
American Mars will play at The Ark in Ann Arbor to celebrate the release of their fourth full-length album.
A slice of suburban Detroit rock will hit Ann Arbor's The Ark on Aug. 18 when American Mars hosts a record release show for their latest album.
Headed up by Dearborn resident Thomas Trimble on lead vocals and guitar, the band includes Garth Girard on bass, Alex Trajano on drums and David Feeny on guitar and keyboards.
American Mars brings a unique brand of roots rock to the local music scene, and fans can hear songs from the band's newest full-length album, Chasing Vapor, this Saturday.
"Our special guests that night are The Thornbills, who recently released a 7" on Jack White's label," Trimble said. "It should be a great night."
The Ark is located at 316 South Main Street in Ann Arbor. The show is all ages, and begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15, and can be purchased at http://www.theark.org.
