Dearborn Homecoming 2012: Friday Schedule
Friday is the first day in the three-day long community celebration at Dearborn's Ford Field.
The 2012 Dearborn Homecoming Festival takes place Aug. 3-5.

Last year's Friday kickoff of Homecoming also included Elderfest, a series of events designed for the less young residents of Dearborn. But this year Elderfest will be held on Sept. 14.
Here is the Dearborn Homecoming 2012 lineup for Friday, Aug. 3, at Ford Field:
- 11 a.m. The carnival opens
- 11 a.m. Food Court and Civic Tent open
- 3-9 p.m. Hype Athletics Basketball Skills Competition
- 6-7 p.m. Dr. Pocket
- 7 p.m. “Cruisin’ Dearborn” Car Cruise
- 6-8 p.m. Willie T. Clown
- 7- 8 p.m. The United Snakes
- 7:30-10 p.m. “Cruisin’ Dearborn” Car Show
- 8-10 p.m. Dearborn’s Rhythm & Blues Blast! Featuring Thornetta Davis & Laith Al-Saadi
- 10:30 p.m. The carnival closes
- 11 p.m. The Food Court and Civic Tent close
