UPDATED: 19th District Courthouse in Dearborn Evacuated for Bomb Threat

The Dearborn Police Bomb Squad searched the courthouse Thursday afternoon after staff received an anonymous threatening phone call.

A bomb threat caused the 19th District Court in Dearborn to be evacuated on Thursday afternoon at approximately 1:30 p.m.

According to the Dearborn Police Department, the bomb squad was dispatched to the courthouse after courthouse staff received an anonymous phone call that a bomb was in the building.

Police officials said the bomb squad searched the building for 45 minutes and determined that there was no threat of danger as of 2:20 p.m. Courthouse staff have since returned to their offices. Further information was not available at the time of this posting.
