Pamela Balazy of Dearborn died Tuesday, June 28. She was 69. She was born in Detroit on Jan. 15, 1942 to Roy and Ruth Gerber. 

Balazy is survived by her husband of 45 years, Stanely; her children, Cathleen (Jason) Belaire, Sharon (Glenn) Hauck; Michael (Aleia) and Mark (Heather); her mother, Ruth Gerber; and her grandchildren, Alexander, Evan and Katie. She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Gerber. 

There will be a memorial gathering Tuesday, July 5, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.,  with a 7 p.m. scripture service, at the Dearborn Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Ave. There will be a gathering at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Michigan and Military at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, with a memorial Mass at 10:30. 

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to a charity of choice.
