The Dearborn Library Foundation is hosting an essay writing contest for Dearborn's high school seniors. Essays are to be about one of two topics - The Role of Libraries Today or The Book That Most Influenced My Life - and be limited to 500 to 700 words in length.
Eligibility is for seniors at Dearborn public schools (Dearborn High, Edsel Ford High and Fordson High), Divine Child High, the Henry Ford Academy and the Advanced Technology Academy. Essays are to be submitted by e-mail in January 2013 and scholarship grants of $500 each will be awarded to the two winning essays in the spring of 2013.
Information on the contest is being made available through the school administrations and complete submission guidelines are included on the Foundation's web site at: www.dearbornlibraryfoundation.org.
