Donald A. Knapp of Dearborn died Aug. 31 at the age of 93. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Knapp worked as an attorney for the General Motors legal staff for more than 30 years. He was a member of The Rotary Club of Dearborn and a member of the Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church, where he enjoyed singing in the choir. Knapp had also been a volunteer spiritual advisor at Oakwood Hospital.
Knapp is survived by his wife, Wilda; his children, Robert (Mary Janet), Richard (Mary), Paul (Lynette), Donna (George) and William (Shirley); his grandchildren, Heather, Leslie, Derek, Nathan, Claire, Elise, Paul, Victoria, Sheri, Daniel, and Joe; and his great-grandchildren, Hailey, Henry, Molly, Amelia and Addison.
A memorial service will be held at noon on Friday, Sept. 9, 12:00 at Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church, 24110 Cherry Hill, Dearborn.
