The Guildlings, the youth theatre arm of the Players Guild of Dearborn, announces auditions for their summer 2012 production of Willy Wonka, Jr.!

These Audition Dates are updated and now accurate and final.

Auditions will be held at the Players Guild of Dearborn, located at 21730 Madison Street in west Dearborn.

For auditionees aged 5 thru 11

• Saturday, May 12
• Registration at 9:30 a.m.
• Auditions run from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

For auditionees aged 12 thru 18

• Monday, May 14
• Registration at 6:30 p.m.
• Auditions run from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Auditionees will be taught music from the score of the musical and then be asked to sing it for the director and music director. Auditionees will also be taught a short dance combination and be asked to dance it for the director and choreographer. Auditionees may be asked to read scenes from the script for the director. They will be handled as cold readings. No prepared monologue necessary. Perusal scripts are not available.    

Performance Dates for the musical are July 20-22 and 27-29. Rehearsals will begin in early June.
